Endings and Beginnings

Dear Friends,

A Pachacuti, as the Q’ero say, is upon us. A time of great change. All indigenous prophecies are optimistic about this time, for at its core, an old cycle is ending and a new one beginning. Death and rebirth are occurring both outside and inside of us – a true cosmic, shamanic rebirth.

December 21 is the Winter Solstice, and every year the path of the Sun and the equator of the Milky Way galaxy align. This year the alignment will be on the plane of the entire galaxy, as the Pleiades, Milky Way and center of the galaxy all align with the Great Central Sun. According to the Mayan Calendar, this occurs every 26,000 years. The energy that will manifest as a result of this alignment lasts about three days. It has the potential to radically elevate our consciousness and assist us to the next stage of our evolution. Its apex lasts 8 minutes, beginning at 3:11am Pacific time on December 21st.

What are your dreams for the rest of your life? For the whole of humanity? The entire weekend is an opportunity for magnified conscious intent and accelerated manifestation. Our thoughts and intentions will be empowered by the incoming energy, and together, we can create a powerful template for ourselves and the planet.

I’m being strongly called to honor and create a space for this momentous cycle of endings and beginnings. A space where we can open and connect with Spirit, as well as the millions of people upon the planet and beyond, and intend peace, harmony and wholeness for All – UNITY. A space where we can pray, laugh, engage in meaningful conversation, make music, dance and share good food and drink with one another.
Here’s my general idea:

*To open a ceremony and light a 24 hour fire on Friday, the 21st at sunrise. We do this in solidarity with our many sisters and brothers who are doing the same in various parts of the world.
*To open to and receive the intensified energies.
*To release the old and expand into the new.
*To create a despacho (offering) to Pachamama/Mother Earth (Saturday sometime).
*To engage in a collective visualization of/for the future.
*To gather together as teachings and experiences arise.
*To play and enjoy one another’s company.
*To release the fire at sunrise on Saturday, the 22nd.
*To close the ceremony at sunset on Sunday, the 23rd.

My invitation to you is this – create a weekend in your community. Align with our fire, and enhance our collective community prayers. If you’re by yourself or need to work, light a candle. And with your open heart, connect with every person who comes your way.

Peace and Healing,
Annie

Hopi prayer:

You have been telling people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered. . . .

Where are you living? What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in right relation? Where is your water?

Know your garden. It is time to speak your truth. Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for your leader.

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.

And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves. Banish the word ‘struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

  2. Thanks, Annie.
Saturday night a few of my closest friends are coming over for dinner. I am going to hold a ceremony for us (small fire in the bbq in the back yard!) where I call our guides, open our hearts, and release/ burn something we are ready to be rid of for good. I will read your post and the Hopi prayer and think of you.
I am happy you said that this time is optimistic. I needed that.
