The Rising of the Phoenix

In my last blog I wrote – “Maybe I’ve had a little glimpse of Light, but my vision is limited as I live in another layer of what feels to be never ending layers of ash.”

I continue to learn what being in the ashes, or as my friend, Linda Jean said, in the coals, is about. For me, it’s been a dismemberment. The Past is over, yet the Present is filled with the Past. My town is gone. My home, Pachamama’s Oasis, exists only in memories and pictures, and the land is in the process of being cleared. The insurance company still has to be dealt with. Friendships have changed. And grief and loss, once held in check by the need to survive, now have space to emerge. The Future? Unknown and unpredictable, as I suppose it always is. My perspective about everything has shifted.

I’m not yet ready to travel, and The Condor, Eagle, and Phoenix Journey has been cancelled.  That means I’m here, in Chico, settling into my new house, running the dog, visiting with friends, cooking, and exploring this new normal I find myself living. I’ve been seeing some wonderful clients in my Healing Room.

From my last blog  – “The alchemy of a lifetime of healing work is now combining with the experience of the fire and creating the Medicine of the Phoenix.” I have not risen, but I will, for dismemberment always leads to re-memberment.

I look forward to serving you: clients, students, friends from near and far.

  8. Bless you Annie. In loss, there is so much gratitude mixed in with the grief, memories filled with love for the nourishing connections. Making space now for the sadness to flow in compassionate holding is precious time within the embers. You will emerge in time, but now is the time for healing. Mother Earth is the best medicine. Love you Annie.

  9. Great to read the update on your blog, Annie. Looks like you are settling in. I am in my own reset, taking a 40- day advanced Structural Integration training in Salt Lake City. So great to have spaciousness now to receive and give to myself. It is wonderful. Blessings with your path as well. Always!
