What is Intuition? How does it work?
Why do some seem to have more of it than others?
Intuition is when our Self, the Spirit, expresses to us, the Human, the
knowings of our Soul.
It is our Truth.
Intuition is always present, but do we pay attention to it? Are we taking the time to listen? And once we’ve heard, do we respond?
Like everything else, Intuition is energy. Have you ever felt, sensed, or known something and then chosen to ignore it? What happened? How did you feel? Were you left with an ache in your heart or gut? Energy likes to circulate, and when we dis-acknowledge our Selves, it becomes stuck. When we choose to live in ways that go against our knowings, the unexpressed energy stagnates and often manifests within our physical bodies. Digestive disorders, heart attacks, hypertension, and autoimmune disease can be the result of a lifetime of ignored Intuition.
Have you ever thought, “Is this my Intuition or my mind?” If so, stop. Focus your attention on your mind, and then breathe the swirling energy of confusion down to the center of your chest. I call this the Heart/Soul space. Exhale. Then ask yourself – what do I want to know? As the formerly stuck energy feeds your Soul, you’ll find the answers you were seeking.
The mind is an instrument of the Soul.
If you feel that your Intuition is blocked, ask yourself: Do I feel safe? Am I comfortable in my body? Do I feel caught or trapped within societal or cultural constraints? Intuition cannot be blocked by anyone or anything outside of the Self. When we feel free within, our Intuition becomes more palpable.
I love this passage. I appreciate how you make this technique accessible and include the note that “Everyone has this capacity.” It is easy to get wrapped up in waiting for someone else to “save” us but you are right, we all have this intuitive connection and can access it, with practice, regardless of external circumstances. Thanks Annie.
Yes! When I was young I knew this “intuitively” but as I aged I learned how to override this natural way of staying in alignment. And now, with even more age, I make it a practice to live my intuition .
Thank you, I value your words and wisdom.
Thank you Annie! You are always teaching me something. Bless you. Love to you and Apu.
