About Annie
“A medicine man shouldn’t be a saint. He should experience and feel all the ups and downs, the despair and joy, the magic and the reality, the courage and the fear, of his people. He should be able to sink as low as a bug or soar as high as an eagle. Unless he can experience both, he is no good as a medicine man.” John Fire Lame Deer
The Beginning
I have been a spiritual seeker ever since I was a young girl growing up in a household of secrets and separation. Who are we? Why are we here? I needed to know.
I left home right after high school and worked in early childhood education and mental health facilities. After the homebirth of my son in 1980, I apprenticed with local midwife, Elizabeth Davis, and spent the next twenty years attending homebirths and developing and teaching classes for families and childbirth professionals.
Spirit Education
In 1992, while training the staff at Native American Health Center in Oakland, CA, I was invited to attend an Indigenous Healing Ceremony. I brought a friend, and less than twenty-four hours after the ceremony, we received a palpable visitation from wise, loving spirits. These benevolent beings became my first healers and teachers from the mystical, unseen realms.
I became inspired to learn Shamanism, Channeling, Soul Retrieval, and Hands-on Healing, and took introductory workshops from Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman, and Barbara Brennan. My spirit teachers, the original and new, soon took over for my human teachers and are relationships that continue to this day.
Peru
I was called to Peru in 1996 to participate in “The Hatun Karpay,” or “Great Initiation,” led by Andean Priest and Mystic Juan Nunez del Prado. This ancient, mystical emergence from the third level of consciousness—fear and separation—into the fourth—Love and Unity, was the catalyst for three interconnected, life-changing Shamanic Initiations.
I continued returning to Peru for several years to deepen my learning of the Andean Mystical Path under Juan’s guidance. This led to the growth of my own relationships with the teachings, Q’ero paqos, local families, apus, and sacred sites. Then, in 2013, I was finally ready to lead spiritual travel groups independently.
Adventures
I served as the visionary leader of Healing Quest for fifteen years, brought groups to Teotihuacan, Mexico where I received the energy of ancient pyramids, led a high-altitude pilgrimage for the planet in Northern India and Tibet, sat on the mountaintop and inside the caves of the tallest mountain at Machu Picchu, traveled on horseback to a remote Q’ero village in Peru, and created a three-month healing clinic in Hungary. Every journey, past and present, enhances my life.
The Book
In 2018, the Camp Fire devoured my town. Then came the worldwide pandemic. During those intensive years, my book, Unity Begins Within: Spiritual Healing Meets the Four-Petaled Flower, was conceived, grew, and like a phoenix, arose from the ashes of my life.
Offerings
I bring over forty years of experience to my healing and teaching work. My clients are all ages: from pre-birth to young ones to elders. It is especially important to me to assist people who are suffering from physical illness. Those who are told that nothing more can be done. That they must take pharmaceuticals or live with physical or emotional suffering the rest of their lives. It is an extraordinary blessing to witness health shifts after a Healing Ceremony. Each one is a unique miracle.
