When I first learned hand-on healing, we practiced three ways of working with the energy flow.
Push. Pull. Allow.
Over the years, I've learned:
Pushing can be appropriate sometimes.
Pulling is rarely called-for.
Allowing Light to move through us in its mystical rhythm is the most powerful way to channel energy.
Place your hands upon the center of your chest at your heart/soul space.
Inhale. Then, as you exhale,
Allow the Light of Love to flow from your center, down your arms, and out your hands.
This is a good teaching about channeling Light, but what about day-to-day Life? I've done my share of pushing. And pulling. Have you? When I was younger I considered allowing to be passive, but I finally realized...
Allowing is actually profound.
Can I live in Allow all the time? Not really. Surrendering to another's timing or an external force I have no control over (control?) can be difficult. But when I recognize that I'm pushing or pulling without good reason, I stop, take a step back, and laugh. Then, I take a conscious breath,
And shift into Allow.

Living in Allow requires Faith and Trust.
Do I have Faith in another person's process? Even if it does not end up where I want it to? Can I Trust the timing regarding an external event? Is Faith and Trust foundation to my Life, no matter what?
