Friends, We’re not all called to be activists in the outer world, but we can be activists in our inner worlds. This is an edited post from two years ago. Big Blessings, Annie
At every Healing Ceremony I help my client create an intention. To name a state of being they want to be living right now. I’ve listened to thousands of life stories and noticed while particulars vary, a few themes re-occur.
I am Safe, Whole, Connected, and Loved could be everyone’s intention.
Safe: Most of us do not feel safe, a foundational aspect of healing and Life itself. How can we truly live if we’re afraid? A fifty year old woman might have a loving family, beautiful house, good job, and friends. She appears happy, yet masks her depression and deep unresolved childhood fears. Until the child within her KNOWS she’s safe, her suffering will continue.
Whole: Most people feel fragmented and unable to find themselves. They carry on, yet never feel quite “home.” I’ve heard so many times: “Something is missing.” “I’m searching for my people” “Where is my home?” “I don’t feel myself.”
Connected: The core Human wound is the illusion of separation from Source. This can be extreme, as when a person is cast out or believes they’re here by mistake. Many of us feel separate no matter how good our life looks. The leader of our country is a prime example of someone living separation. Mother Teresa is an example of one who knew we’re all the same person.
Loved: Love binds the universe and unifies all Beings. Why do so many feel unloved? We looked to our parents, and whether they were the best or worst, they’re Human and were unable to give us the unconditional love we deserve. How could they? They never received it themselves.
I had a student who once said, “I don’t do self-love.” I saw a wounded, frightened woman. Four years later I see a goddess. She chose to heal. To believe in self-love and actually love herself. These decisions now inform her life.
Everyone has opportunities to take responsibility for their healing. We have choices. Are we willing to be vulnerable? Attend to the child within? Find ways of recovering lost or fragmented parts of ourself? Explore the paths that help you feel connected to others. To Earth. To Source. No one can heal alone; we need helpers – midwives. What keeps you from asking for help?
This is the sacred Wiraqocha Stone. It sits in the corner near the door of the central cathedral in Cusco, Peru, Wiraqocha is the metaphysical name for God. Send it your heavy energy. Your inner duality. Self hatred. Fear. It will transmute it. Then breathe safety, wholeness, connection, and love of Source from the stone into your soul. Fill to the brim and beyond.
Beautiful, true and remarkably simple really. We all want and need the same things. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Annie. It’s good to be reminded that separation from Source is an illusion. And thank you for offering the stone. I have sent a heavy load for it to transmute. Sending love now to you and all.
Love this. Thank you, Annie xoxo
Thank you Annie, for reminding me to build my own sacred stone altar for a place of transformation. I include the leader of our County as being connected to Source. There are many unknown factors, as you know, to grow in grace and miracles.
